If it were me I would option c) first, sometimes
even 1% is on your side.
From my lurking around I can tell you are more
experienced collector and this situation must be
harder for you to confront. Your questioning of
the item should hold more ground with the seller
than someone who has only been collecting 10 mos
or so. Any respectable seller will make thinks
right with you, mailing should be the only expense
you are out.
So far as a) b) or d) they all sound the same to
me, an unsatisfied customer not wanting to keep
the regret or pass it to others. Try for your
glimmering 1% first ^_^.
I know alot of you guys are still in school but
even at my age education is expensive.
