I don't know about you, but my wallet only has
a few little credit card slots... and most of
them are filled with insurance cards, Blockbuster
card, etc... 

I've worked in retail before, and I used to cringe
when I say people pull out the 6-inch-stack of
credit cards.  I would especially stare when they
had to seriously think about which card could
hold the purchase when it was only $20-$50...
if ALL of your 20 credit cards are maxed out,
how on earth do you even begin to SORT those
bills at the end of the month?

I only have 2 cards... one regular use (for when
it's more convenient than cash or check, since
I rarely carry cash on me) and one emergency.
I used to have a third one, and cancelled that
one a year or so ago... and you would not
BELIEVE the fight the credit card agency put up
when I said I wanted to cancel!  They offered
3 times in a row to lower my rate ("Well,
we just decided we could go a little lower...
no?  well, my records show that we could REALLY
go down to this...??") and they did everything
short of tap dancing for me.  The fact that
those companies are so money-hungry and don't
listen when someone says "NO" (and yes, I did
cancel it anyway) tells me right off that 
some of these people who carry 20 or more cards
may just not be good at saying no (along with
realizing how much they actually MAKE to be
able to SPEND)...

Argh... just my $0.02...
