I started collecting in June 01. I know FY has 
been around for years, and so have collectors 
from it. And I have noticed the huge increase in 
price JUST since I started....

Truth is.. I'm going after my dream cel. It is 
truely that. I had no intentions of getting any 
other cel... even if the Hotohori pan WAS 
available for offers... even though i LOVE that 
image... I wouldn't buy it. 

My dream cel captures my favorite character, from 
my favorite episode... at, IMHO, his BEST moment. 
And even before I started collecting I oogled 
that cel ... *_*.  And yes - the price will be 
high on the cel i adore... but I don't ever plan 
on selling it if I get it. Value is in the eye of 
the beholder. ;_;

I also don't like selling my cels. But I am not 
made of money... so what has to go to fund my 
dream cel... will go. *wimper* But maybe this is 
all that my collecting has built up to? 

I know that someone said that we might get bit in 
the ass when one pops up on ebay or YJ. In my 
case - it's not likely. And even if it did - it 
would probably go for the same-ish price. My 
thought? The cels I *have to* sell to get my 
dream cel can be replaced.... my dream cel 
cannot. 

And yes - there ARE people out there that buy for 
one or two bad reasons. One is to "get" them 
(meaning the status issue...>_<) and Two - 
thinking they can get the money back when they 
resell..
Me? I get cels of my favorite characters/scenes.. 
etc. All of the cels I have got for a reason - to 
please myself. ^_^
There's nothing worse than a person going for a 
cel of a character they admittingly don't like. 
While only raising the price for everyone else in 
the process...~_~
