I don't know why I'm jumping into this but.... (Wed Aug 30 12:04:23 2000 )

Hi all,

I'm pretty high on cold medicine so please excuse
any weirdness on my part (*cough* *sneeze*)

I think part of the problem people are having
with middlemen like this is that they are
unnecessary to the process. That is, if I'm
getting cels from a dealer, I wouldn't have had a
chance to get them beforehand. I, like many
others, don't mind giving them my business and my
profit. I WANT them to profit so they keep
bringing me cels ^_^

On the other hand cels on yahoo Japan and dealer
sites are available to most people. I mean, if
you really want something on yahoo Japan, you can
find a way. If you buy from somebody who gets to
the update quicker or who cleans out yahoo Japan,
etc, then you are paying for the fact that you
weren't quick enough or aware of what's out
there. Hence, resentment because we all like to
think we have a fair chance at cels and that we
sometimes rest easier when we know the cel goes
to a collector and not somebody who wants to
profit off of us.

This type of middleman dealer is completely
different than a regular dealer or even an
individual collector. Personally, I can live
without cels that are sold this way so I don't do
business with them (at least I don't think I do
^_~). I also think (although it seems to be wrong
from what I've seen in this thread) that most
people who do this, can't profit for long. I just
don't see it happening beyond one or two cels. I
see many cels of this nature on ebay just sitting
there and noone's bidding on them.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. To everybody I
owe an email to (*waving*) I'll be sending some
out soon!!!

Off to find more cold medicine,

Wendy
