I know I would if I would find a nice Laputa cel ;)" Well, sorry, but I can't afford your carefree attitude!!! Neither can most of us. If I had no end to the amount of money in my bank account, I might see things differently. "PS. Remember, cels are exspensive collectibles, they are not like Beanies or Hot Wheels ;)" Cels are expensive because of people with ideas like yours! As someone else mentioned, in terms of supplies, they go for a few bucks. On the market, you can even see decent cels for $20-30 if you get lucky. Most of my favorite cels cost that much. Keep in mind, I think cels are worth more than the cost of materials etc, because I value them as art, and there is the sentimental connection to a story that I love, and makes me happy. But I wouldn't have been able to buy them if they were say, $80. Thank God the dealers didn't have the same attitude as you, because they were the only ones with the cels- I think they bought almost all the cels in the sequence. And by the way, I'd like to get my hands on some of the rare beanies like angel bear or peace or whatever, and sell em off to buy some cels. |
