Thank you for the explanation. From the message that I had
seen on their webpage, I thought something must have
happened.

Personally, I dislike their policy. When I do business, the
terms are agreed upon. Even in an auction format, a buyer
and seller agree upon a price. Mangaya is a business, and
while it is expected for a business to maximize their
profits, they should follow standard business practices.
In this case, they should either sell their merchandise for
a stated price after the buyer has agreed to purchase it,
or place the merchandise up for auction. Altering the terms
of a sale after the transaction has been agreed upon does
not constitute a "fair" business practice, in my opinion.

I am uncomfortable with their current policy because I am
uncertain at what price I am purchasing a cel. Will it be
for the "stated" price, or will it be for the "bid" price
that I had indicated that I was willing to pay? Remember,
I have no way of verifying the number of bidders for a
particular cel, and if I'm in an auction I think I have a
right to know before agreeing to any purchasing terms.

Having said that, isn't that Ranma 1/2 cel of the Tendo
family cool?!? I've never seen a cel of their family
before, and I'm REALLY tempted to splurge. But I'm going
to end up bidding on AniMiko's auction instead... at
least I know what I'm getting into when I do business
with her, and I've never had any problems. I'm not
comfortable with Mangaya's policy, and I think I'm going
to hear what sort of experiences everyone else has had
before risking five hundred (or more) dollars.
