I'm not getting into this macro debate (yet?) but I wanted to ask a question. Have you signed this cel to make sure people in 'future generations' of owning this cel don't get confused and mistake it for the original? I believe it was Ryochan who proposed that we only sell signed fan art and only buy signed fan art. That cuts down on the cases of mistaken identity. Finding out your bought a fake production cel is a very unfortunate event and can happen even if the artist's intentions were only good. Also, if you just wanted to supply people with a fan cel that they might like, why didn't you just sell it on your webpage and not on eBay? There are many cel reproductionists out there right now, so there is kind of a 'market value' for pricing them. It's getting too confusing right now with all the cels, fancels, and repos on eBay, I fear some people may get confused, no matter how clear you are. I've seen so many eBay "titles" show up that give no indication that it is a fan cel, and you have to read the text clearly for the one sentence that explains the item is not a production cel, but a fan cel. This goes for everyone. Keys Still waiting for Cathay Pacific to send her the rest of her luggage... |
