I tried to stay away from this topic, but I have
to post.  I am sick of the misconcpetion that
people have about FL.  This statement irritates
the hell out of me, as I have seen and heard it
many places recently:

'state with known history of many hurricanes`

Although we have had hurricanes in the past, I
have lived in Central Florida (Orlando) for 26
years.  I have seen a whopping ZERO hurricanes.
You know why?  We have not had one in the last 40
years. Now, all of a sudden, they are sprouting up
like weeds.  

If you dont go through it, you might not have an
understanding of them like the people that have
encountered one.  However, it still does not stop
people from posting something negative.

The simple fact of the matter, as already stated,
is that Lizzard did not start this thread.  If you
have nothing constructive to say, (especially to
someone that has went through a major natural
disaster,)  try to avoid stating something that
might further stress the person out.

Now let me go ahead and prepare for Jeanne...As
this same thing can happen to me.
