Hmmm... I've bought cels from shows before I've seen the 
show a few times, luckily everytime the show has turned 
out to be great.   Bebop, Narumon, and Esca!
I have never bought a cel from a show I hate because 
although one of my reasons for collecting is astectics 
it isn't the main reason I collect.   

What do people think of missed oppertunities?  Such as say
seeing a bunch of cels from a series you haven't seen, and therefore
passing on them, only to watch the series and find it to be one of your
new faves.  Then not being able to find cels or remembering great 
cels you passed on before you saw the show.   Cels you might have 
bought were from scenes or of characters you love.

Actually looking at cels makes me want to check out said series.   
I bought my first Van before I saw Escaflowne and I'm quite glad 
I did as it turned out to be great and one of my very top fave shows.   
I haven't sold any of the cels I've bought from shows I hadn't 
seen at the time.  They all turned out to be great characters and 
moments.   
Ex: Ed from Bebop, Sara from Narumon, and of course Van-sama!  ^_^

I don't really see the reason to collect from a show you hate tho,
unless you just really love the art, I guess.
