In the Disney case you cited, yes, CG would be a
very proper and very correct term to use. Like I
said above, I am not challenging the validity of
the term CG, and no, Sonia and I are
the "Abbreviation Police" as you so sarcasticly
put it. We are just trying to make people aware
of the difference in meanings. That's all... End
of Story. (Is that so wrong?)
^_^ Honestly, I see your point, and you're
right, this thread has gone on way too long...
for that I appologize. What we say isn't going
to matter, people will continue to use the term
CG, and that is fine with me. Just trying to
shed a little light.
Oh and to answer your question, Yes, I have
worked in the animation industry, as have my
husband and best friend, and the three of us have
had this "CG" discussion in the past. And like I
said in my last post ... I DON'T know about
Japanese Animation professionals... I was
speaking only through my knowledge of American
animation companies.
And lastly... Who is this? No need to hide
behind a NLI... I enjoy these discussions.. no
hard feelings... I'd just like to know who I am
debating with. ^_^
Respectfully,
Cheryl Sutton
