They can mean whatever you want them to mean as 
long as we all know what you're talking about, I 
guess  ^_^  *hehehe*  I am so used to American 
animation terms like DP, that CG just throws me 
off... but I don't really mind all that much.

You're right though, CG has become the 'generic 
term' for anything relating to computer animated 
film.
