I simply don't tell people.  My mother and her 
boyfriend, plus a couple other family members 
(like my cousin who is into anime a bit) are all 
that know I collect.

My mother wasn't thrilled with the idea of me cel 
collecting, because she thought it was a "waste 
of money".  Then when she saw an offer I got for 
one of them she changed her mind.  PLUS when she 
saw the anime I collect from she got sorta 
attached.  She'd peek through my cel book and 
say "Oooh!  Tooya! *_*"  

As for the reason why I don't tell people I 
collect is because of the circulating rumors I'm 
so sick of.  You see, I live on an island with 
about 700 people.  Everyone knows everyone, and 
half of them are backstabbing, rumor-spreading 
people who live for making someone's life hell.

My grandparents also own a large company, and 
yes, they are rich.  Therefore people naturally 
assume my family is rich as well.  But it's not 
so.  My mother is the one that keeps the company 
running, but she makes an average wage.  
Sometimes she works 7 days a week for 12 hours 
each and she makes $400 a week.  For keeping up 
a "rich" company, people assume she gets more.  
(Yes, my grandparents are money-tight and do not 
give it out under any circumstances! ^_^)

I'm sorry of everyone sticking their nose in the 
air and saying "Well, why don't you get Grampie 
to buy you this!" and such.  I have never asked 
anyone for money, nor do I intend to.  It's rude 
and makes me feel ill.

Anyway... sorry for ranting.
