Yes, both came with sketches. The "normal color"
one, though, has just a black pencil outline,
with a blue line indicating the shadow lines.
However, if you turn it over, you see that the
artist has shaded in parts of it on the reverse
side, something I've seen on several other dougas.
The "FX color" one (that is, the one that was
actually used) is shaded in on the same side as
the outline, as in most dougas I own. (I put
images of both dougas up on my RS gallery in case
anyone besides me is obsessive enough to want to
compare them.)
Interestingly, they are almost identical,
but not quite ... For instance, if you
look closely at the fingernail of the middle
finger extending out toward the viewer, you'll
see that it was drawn slightly differently in
each cel; and there are also small details in
Sakura's blouse that are different. And they
are different in the dougas, too meaning that
the dougas were not simply copied one from the
other but were individually drawn.
Odd ... very odd. |
