Actually I have family who are interested in cels.
For me to update them on how to purchase, buy,
preserve and eventually sell them, would not take
a long amount of time. I would agree it does
depend on whether or not your significant other
has an interest, but they don’t have to care about
them to sell them for money on someplace like
evilbay. People sell there for one reason to get
the most exposure as possible, so they can get a
good price. Conversely, if I was married and
someone left me a ton of collectible stuff, I know
I for one would like to know the value and how to
go about determining it. The cels I have can be
resold and not necessarily at a loss, it depends
on the series and the current demands at that
point in time. At the moment, I am not at that
stage to worry about this as it is a relatively
new relationship. Currently, I would however trust
and leave to certain family members, my
collection. I know they appreciate it already and
would sell the remaining ones they themselves did
not want. There is no reason why they should not
keep what they do not want and not make some
efforts to obtain the monies from selling them.
When the time comes I do intend to tell my
significant other exactly how much I spent, I want
them to make informed decisions on how to dispose
of them (if they chose to).

For the record I am always selling what I do not
want to reduce excess, thereby keeping only what I
really want. If there are even 12 cels left by the
time I am 35 I would be amazed. By the time I
leave, I certainly expect the cels to be damaged,
but it doesn’t mean they cannot be resold.
