He knows that the amount I've spent on cels is
NOT small. I don't lie to him about what I spend,
I simply don't tell him and he doesn't ask. In
exchange, I don't ask him what he's spent on his
bookcases full of Transformer toys and he doesn't
tell me. It amuses us, and we're both of the
similar blood in that respect.
The point is, I take care of the things I have
been asked to take care of (like a loan from my
parents for the downpayment on our house) and
whatever else I do is my own business. It might
be different if I made more money, but at this
point, just the yearly bonus he got last April
was about 3/4 the amount of my YEARLY SALARY.
That's BEFORE taxes, not after.
Now do you understand why this intentional lack
of communication (which we BOTH know is there)
doesn't bother us? ^_^
Frankly, if I knew I would keel and my collection
would be disbanded tomorrow, knowing that the
money would be recouped would be much less
important to me than knowing that the cels would
move on to other people who are amused with them,
as I was. If given my own choice, most of the
best and most valuable cels in my collection
would probably be given to friends I knew wanted
them, as opposed to sold.
Many Sharp Smiles,
