If a friend of mine finds a cel before I do, 
unless it's something I reeeeeally want, I just 
back off and let them bid.  And if it is something 
I reeeeeeally want, I just wheedle to see if 
they're as attached to it as I would be.  ^_^  And 
if I'm already in on something, and they're the 
ones doing the wheedling, I've usually backed down 
as well.

Of course, a few times (casts evil grins at 
several folks), I've insisted on staying in anyway 
and won the cel.

'Cause nothing heralds a subsequent, much-beloved 
birthday or Christmas present better than an email 
response which starts, in a friendly manner, "You 
b***h!  I don't BELIEVE you did that!!  Three 
MONTHS I've been mourning that cel..."
