Well, i guess i collect cels, for the same reason 
as the most here. To be somehow part of the show.

Anime is something you can watch and dream 
yourself into. It let`s you escape for a while  
from your everyday life. Who does`nt want to be a 
citizen of Kiki`s town. Who does`nt want to be a 
mecha pilot in space and who does`nt want to go 
on adventures with a party existing of a dwarf, 
an elf, an healer and a magician. 

Sometimes it has resemblance with music, mostly 
shows from back in the days, when you was little. 
You can practically smell the past ;O)  You 
remember things that happend at that time and how 
you felt about it. 

So cel collecting is as close as you can get to 
the anime you love. At least for me .
