I think it's more than appreciating the beauty of 
anime...if that's all it is, then I suggest you 
go into collecting posters or prints or 
artbooks...all of which highlight the beauty of 
anime. I think the dilemma here is that she 
stated she doesn't shell out money for prints, 
but will for cels...so it's obviously not just 
about the 'image'...

I think, deep down, we all love having something 
that was, tangibly, a PART of the anime we love. 
Seeing it on-screen is a feeling that can't be 
replaced, and I love it. Then there's the fact 
that the cel you own and hold in your holds in 
the only one in the entire world like it...every 
cel is individual! No one else can own that image 
but you, and that's just spiffy.
