Then, this should be your reason for collecting! 
Which is good enough, in fact that's why most 
collectors collect cels, for it's beauty. My post 
was not intended to hurt your feelings or insult 
you in anyway. I simply thought you were unhappy 
about cel collecting or find it tasteless, yet 
you were spending a lot of money on it. But since 
that's not the case, I am sorry if I 
misunderstood you!

The reason that you could spend a lot of money on 
cels, but not on paintings is, well, you said it 
yourself, because you appreicate anime for it's 
beauty. Because everyone's interests are 
different, we could not appreciate everything 
that others appreciate, which is ok! As long as 
you respect the things other people love.
