I personally partly agree with her, though I
haven't done anything like create an image
gallery from eBay images. What I have done is
take an eBay image of a cel I really wanted but
couldn't quite afford to bid on, and turned it
into a wallpaper, which people can download from
my site. I originally made the wallpaper just to
make myself feel better, but liked it enough that
I decided to pass it out to friends I knew would
be interested.
Just my own thoughts, mostly. The image was up
there for public consumption. If the seller was
really concerned about it, he could have asked
potential bidders to email him for scans. eBay
is a public site, so you've got to expect the
public to see it. It's not quite the same, but
here's an example: If a photographer takes a
picture of the Statue of Liberty, does he have to
ask permission of the state of New York to show
it anywhere? |
