Well, first of all, let me say that I work
nights and so I am awake at weird hours, even on
my days off. Often, I can only sleep for about 4
hours at a time. Whether at work or at home, I
always have access to super fast internet
connections.
And guess what? I almost NEVER catch updates. If
I do, it's very rare that I will beat out the
other collectors who are watching the same
updates.
So what do you do? You can email the dealer and
see if they have any more cels from the same
sequence, etc. Although it may hurt to see
someone else make off with your dream cel,
bookmark their site. You never know when and if
they might decide to sell or trade it.
I have lost count of how many great people I've
met and traded with and it all started with me
emailing them and either making offers or merely
admiring their cels.
About cel karma - Laura is absolutely right!
What comes around, goes around. Not every time
and not always in equal doses, but looking out
for one another instead of treating each other
like mortal enemies is a good step to take. ^_^
Finally, I can't remember who (maybe japester)
suggested this, but it's not a bad idea - watch
the sites you are interested in. Do they update
at night or during the day? Certain times of the
month? There are a couple of sites that are
*sometimes* predictable.
Good luck! |
