And then they go over here and gloat so happily
over their newest and greatest cels...
Hey, I have nothing against you collectors
showing off, but it really just makes me feel
worse...
... I'm really frustrated that seemingly every
single cel dealer update with the best cels (and
at reasonable prices) when I'm sleeping while
folks on the East Coast get a 3-hour jump (or a 2-
hour jump for CST people) on collectors like me
on the West Coast. And those updates I have been
able to catch on time really have been pretty
mediocre.
And this seems to have been dragging on for the
past several months.
Maybe you don't believe me, but that's how I feel.
For the sake of argument (without flaming) here's
a voluntary poll:
Excluding auctions, how many of you who have been
successful in ordering really great cels actually
live on the West Coast? If so, how many of you
didn't have to pay pretty average to high prices
for those cels? I'm suspecting the answer to be
few or none.
I just need to throw my feelings out there,
because it seems that by the time I catch a good
cel update, the cels I would have wanted are
already on hold and sometimes even someone here
is already raving about getting it.
It might not be intentional on the parts of the
cel dealers, but functional discrimination is
still discrimination, in my view.
I don't expect anyone to respond to this, at
least in a constructive way that will actually
address the issue, but I do hope those who do
respond will try their best to do so instead of
just reacting emotionally like I am. |
