A person's schedule should just be as important
as how much they try, I really do think. Read
the other posts (and your own as well) and you'll
see that certain dealers do "usually" update at
certain time periods, WHICH are more convenient
for some people as opposed to others BASED on
their schedule. The time zones mentioned in the
beginning may not be the key factor, but they do
play a part in determining a person's schedule
much of the time (or does everyone here work
graveyard shifts?).
And I already told you that we should eliminate
those who just check for updates religiously,
because I already agreed that they'll get good
cels no matter the time, place, or situation.
But after you take those particular people away,
I wager that many times there are still a few
good cels and bargains left in some updates
(besides, the update hounds tend to be picky
anyway and won't buy out an entire update just
because they can, LOL).
So who will be more likely to pick up the
remaining good cels... someone who's usually
awake at or near that time or someone who's not?
I've yet to hear about cases of sleep-typing on
the computer (although I'm currently practicing
some self-hypnosis).
I could try as hard as I want, but if there are
times that are just not practical or realistic
for me to be on the computer, AND those are the
times the updates come rolling in... it just
doesn't matter how hard I try.
As for the 16 hour time difference for Japanese
dealers, cut out 12 hours (since no one sleeps
for that long) and I think the argument will
still apply. And as for West Coast sellers, I'm
aware of them as well as everyone else, but when
Anime Game is making 1 AM-5 AM updates (as has
been in the case the last 2 months) on the
Pacific Coast then the argument still holds true
then. I really wasn't sure what you were trying
to go with here, but I don't see your points in
these cases.
But like I also said before (hope you at least
took time to read one of my posts further down),
the argument only applies to certain dealers and
things may flip-flop again later on.
But if the current trend isn't favorable for
certain pcollectors (and it's not their fault
because it's a matter of time rather of effort),
then who are you or I to say that they don't have
something legitimate to complain about? |
