I think the main reason Watership Down, Last 
Unicorn, and the like don't have line fade is 
mostly due to the fact that they are hand inked. 
Much higher quality then the xeroxed lines for.. 
say, Sailor Moon.  It's a matter of budget I'd 
guess. ^-^
