I don't really remember if the colors faded or
not... I remember looking most (in pain -_-)
at the faded Sailor Moon cel, and since that
was painted in light/pastel colors anyway,
I don't remember noticing a lot of color damage..
they may have slightly faded (racking brain)...
I don't think the colors on the Yohko cel had
faded, just the trace-lines, so... (*shrug*)

I don't know much about Kenshin, so I can't
shed any more light, but I only remember how
those beautiful cels looked after years of
flourescent-light exposure (*sob*)...
