Naturaly, character designers/animation
directors first worked as animator and key
animator.

For example, Narumi Kakinouchi worked as
key animator on Macross II. What would be
more valuable ? A genga from Mikimoto or
a douga from Kakinouchi ? :)

So douga or rough sketches from people who
became famous character designers/animation
directors are valuable. After all, a douga
from Miyazaki is still something made by him :)
