Now I have a few questions, since I got it all so
horrendously wrong (sorry minna -.-;;). This is
what I had come to understand of genga from the
many threads I had seen here about it (especially
confusing now that I look back are the
genga "show me" threads...lots of people showed
the layout sketches with the boxes around them. I
had come to consider genga as any production
sketch that led up to the douga, since they're
used to plan and flesh out the douga before it's
done, kind of as a preliminary thing).
Anywhoo, here's my question: If my sketch was
actually a douga (of which I had gotten the
impression that the douga was the finished
product, that final sketch), then what separates
it from your genga? They have all the same
markings, and now I truly am confused (picture
below). I just wanna be in the know, and be able
to tell the difference (and update the webpage
accordingly).
Perhaps cel collectors actually have a different
(and wrong) perception of what genga are? I'd
always seen these types of sketches described as
genga on YJ, I guess it's a general public error.
