Hi Jason
The site and service you provided is really
great, I will probably use it to build my first
on line gallery soon.
but the idea of creating a price guide is
somewhat unrealistic in my opinion.
>Rubberslug will act as a neutral third party to
>note both the rarity and relative price of cels
>(like Wizard, but with very broad ranges),
cels are not mass produced like baseball cards or
comic books, it is impossible to created a price
guide that is 100% unbiased, not everyone is
willing to pay the same price for the same cel.
the idea of creating a price guide for cels like
beckett for baseball cards or wizard for comic
books is good, but this is the wrong kind of
hobby for that.
then there is cel price in Japan vs cel price in
other countries.
as for cel availability, how can you determine
this, there are certain dealers in Japan who have
huge chunk of the supply from the certain shows,
or collectors who have bought most of the supply
of older shows.
>start building a database of cel
>availability for every show that we collect
how many collectors are going to participate?
assuming everyone on cel web ring joins 300
1000 new members, I doubt you will get more than
1000 members, 100 is more realistic, how can you
build a data base that is big enough to determine
the availability of cels for every show that we
collect?
