The short essay is written by the webmaster of a 
Gundam Wing Yaoi fanfiction site. Because the

To those who are offended by Yaoi...hey, you are 
certainly entitled to your opinion/beliefs. I 
personally was never offended, just not into it. 
Back when I was heavy into fanfics, I tried 
looking for Gundam Wing stuff...and surprise 
surprise...all I found was yaoi. So one day, I 
broke down and read through a few. Like most 
fanfics, they were pretty bad. Except for one. It 
blew me away. It was sensitive, interesting, 
emotional, engaging...and all about Duo and 
Heero. Something about it was so incredibly 
interesting and *sorry* erotic. I honestly had no 
idea that yaoi was appealing to other female 
anime fans. I honestly thought I was a little 
weird or something. ^_^ But not so...which is why 
I really like the above short essay. Some of her 
points are right on. 

Anyway, just thought I'd chime in. I find this 
topic fascinating. Especially when the discussion 
involves female opinions about an art-from made 
for women, by women. ^_^
