Honestly you cannot tell a fake cel from a real cel. I have seen some fake cels that were being sold at the Anime Expo by artist that look just as good if not better than the original.
But companies like AIC has started stamping their cels with the AIC logo so you know its an original (Unless someone comes up with a good stamping technique). Plus AIC cels no longer comes with the pencil sketches because it would make it harder for fake artists to copy that cel.
The only thing I can say is go with your gut feeling when buying an anime cel. |
