| I have a real lack of creativity with online
names. My first email account was created by the
university waaaay back in 1992, and they just
used my last name. The next account I tried to
get, my last name was taken so I added my first
initial. Just as well, because when I later got
a job, the company emails used the same formula
(first initial, last name). So I just kept using
the same thing. All my login ids for everything
are the same except for a couple of things like
nytimes and aim, where it was already taken,
probably by a cousin or uncle of mine, so I added
a "42" at the end. There are only three sites
where I have accounts with a truly different
login, and two of those three are extra accounts
where I have a primary account with my usual id.
I even used it for my website when I finally got
my own domain. I've often thought of trying to
come up with something more fun, but everyone
already knows me by my current id, so I figure
it's not worth it. |
