Guess what Anna.  No-one hated you for asking 
your buyers to be patient because you were 
injured.  People hated you for the "I refuse to 
be seen as a cripple" line, especially since 
your injury was minor.  That's when it showed 
you weren't being late because you were injured, 
but because you were too vain to use a pair of 
crutches.  There are people who are permantly 
handicapped and are stuck in wheelchairs, or 
will never walk unaided, but some-how are still 
able to function and work in society.  Hell the 
day after I broke my foot(which ended up needing 
2 surgeries to fix)  I was hobbling my way into 
work.
