Ummm...I know that... (Wed Aug 28 22:03:56 2002 )

Yes, I know it's the bidder's
responsibility...notice once in my post I
never "complained" or said that I wouldn't pay.
Of course I will. My question was about whether
people ever talked a seller down from a price.

ON ANOTHER NOTE, I think I should also point out
that this auction was too close to ending to have
had time to ask the question before it was over.
I was willing to take the chance, and still am,
since I love the item.

HOWEVER: That still doesn't mean it's "my fault"
just because someone else has decided to charge
too much (again, it's like blaming a rape victim
for wearing a skirt that was too short; flawed
logic). Yes, it is my RESPONISBILITY to check,
but THAT is a different issue (confusing the ends
with the means, my friends). If a seller is
charging to much, I will pay, but not before
trying to bring it down first; simply "accepting"
it is saying it's OK for people to rip you off,
and it's not. If I can, I will fight it first.
