The reason for collecting produciton cels (for me
that is) is for its originality and the game of
finding the "best" one of your favorite character
or show.  

I personally shun at repro cels because I think it
is a cheap way for the studios to try and make
more money off of the fans.  Mind you, there is
nothing against trying to make more money, but I
really don't like the fact that they are going
back and reproducing their own work.  It just
takes the taste out of its originality ESPECIALLY
after the show is done and over with.

Another thing about repro cels is the fact that
they will NEVER gain in value as an original will
even if it is "limited edition" (believe me, I
have collected a lot of things that are "limited"
and they never lived up in value for some reason).
 So you are basically just buying it for your own
satisfaction (which is afterall the #1 reason why
you should collect), but you will never be able to
resell it at the price you paid for it.
