A fan cel I made for the guy in the center. I'm
very happy to know these people. Especially the
center guy, as much as it hurts at times ;)
I know how you feel, you know, where I go to
school, I have hands on my ass and in my pocket
all the time. I'm not the victim type though...
But consider - cameras only see, they don't
prevent. Anybody can light a bomb anywhere. You
cannot search everyone with pockets. A terror
attack is less likely than the existence of an
intelligent dog. I fully understand you're pissed
as hell, but blaming the mall people for not
installing cams isn't fair IMO. If the thief is
fast enough to disassemble your bike, he needn't
worry about the cam.
As for responsibility, it's normal that people
watch/secure their things. At most schools and
working places signs are posted: "We are not
responsible for theft, loss, damage, etc.". I'm
not blaming you, the bike was secured, but what's
with the $300? It's best to carry money close to
your body all the time or lock it up.
The only use of surveillance cams is
a) screening visible danger (condition: guards
available fast enough)
b) scaring unconfident thieves through their mere
presence. Pathetic.
Anyways, good luck re-assembling the bike and
getting your money back... if ever. |
