I'm not sure, but I think Ebay bought Paypal from
Wells Fargo bank sometime last year. That's why
they're so integrated now.
I reported OG to Paypal in February 2003 since
that was how I paid him. Since too much time had
passed from my October 2002 payment (and the
December 2002 resell of my cel), the most they
could do was flag his account with a warning. I'm
glad to see someone else followed through and got
him suspended.
Anyways, I contacted ebay on the first day of his
auctions to warn them about him. I was hoping
that they would do somenthing because if they are
now the same company as Paypal, they should have
had a record of at least my fraud complaint
against him. They just gave me a form letter back
discussing seller privacy. Its sad to see that it
took someone else getting ripped off by him
before they did anything.
A blacklist would be a nice idea, I just don't
know where it would be posted so people could
readily see it. It would also be hard to update
since IDs and emails can changed. OG has at least
2 IDs (different venues though) and 3 email
addresses that I know of. |
