That was one of the things I loved about Treasure
Planet. The sci-fi takeoff on the novel was a
great idea. Like I said, I was just a little
disappointed with the result.
As for Disney and music, I couldn't agree more.
Like I said, after their string of hit movies,
they go on and make some truly awful stuff. Lilo
and Stitch was a good example of how strong
writing, good animation, and well chosen music
can produce a good movie. Another thing I liked
about the film was that it involved a more modern
family achetype. The story wasn't centered around
the mom, dad, and 2.5 kids. I am the biggest fan
of Disney, when it is done right. If you don't
