That was also a very well written film. It
didnt do well because they marketed the poor
creation to who? Kiddies. I dont think anyone
in America is as sick and tired as I am of every
thing out there being marketed and made for 2-6
year olds.
And yikes..please GOD no more musical movies.
Little Mermaid was an exception because Ariel's
beautiful voice was part of the movie. Lion
King just had good songs, cute and catchy (with
the exception of the horrid Hyena song). But
Lord, Pocahontas and Hunchback? BLEAHH! If you
have to include musical numbers, at least make
them good ones..and Disney just cant do it
anymore.
I love how according to Disney's 'research',
Treasure Planet was just enough of a stray from
their usual schlock that their 'fanbase' of
glazed over children and parents totally threw
tomatoes at them for creating such a beast.
They didnt like the sci-fi, they didnt like the
music...they wanted more of the same. I say
give em a few more Hunchback OVAs, that will
shut them up.
(sorry, I get soooo grouchy when it comes to
Disney.) >:{
