I have a Canon CanoScan 3000F.  I have had it 
for a litle over a year now & it works great.  I 
have never had any problems with it.  I think it 
works pretty well; color wise & all. It even has 
an attachment for scanning negatives & slides as 
well.  I paid about $120.
