Yeah, the new charges for sellers is definitely a 
factor.  (Although I'm grateful that it will keep 
the crap cels from circulating on there ad 
nauseum.)

But I also think the cel market itself is in a 
recession.  Sure, the top-end cels still sell, but 
I'm seeing a lot of decent cels (that would have 
sold quickly a year ago) sit on dealers' sites and 
go for dirt cheap (or not at all) on YJ.  I 
collect mid-range stuff, mainly from Tenchi, and 
I've seen prices drop nearly in half on Ebay.  And 
80% of the threads on here seem to be people 
hawking cels (including me!).  Many with no luck 
(including me!!! LOL).

Cels are definitely a luxury item, so it's hard to 
say whether the recession is due to a lack of 
interest (since the explosion of anime popularity 
in the US has reached a peak) or a lack of money 
(as the economy just sort of staggers along), but 
the end result seems to be the same.
