Hmm.. If you check the cels.org page..you will
see a section where people do fan cels for a
fee...commission. Is that legal?
I don't think *ANY* fan cel is technically
legal. However, because the company be it AIC,
CLAMP...etc. does not want to be seen as a fan
cracker, they do not crack down on it much. Since
tehnically, AIC has copyrighted it's
characters...anyone that draws a ryoko and displays
it without paying royalities and such is doing
something illegal. I once wanted to reference some
artical in a paper to use in a class and I
contacted the newspaper. They actually stated that
royalties must be given. Usually, I think they
(other newspapers) don't really care...but if they
*could* do something if they wanted...
But i'm rambling...
I've seen a lot of fancels on ebay. I'm not sure
what to say...I guess I'm just rambling at this
point ^^.
