Oh, and let's see how many mangaka people can 
name started off drawing doujinshi. CLAMP, Yun 
Kouga (Earthian)...there are quie a bit more I 
could name. Basically, doujinshi is a forum for 
would-be manga artists to try and get their 
talent found. On another note, a lot of doujinshi 
is original stories. Doujinshi just is an 
unnofficial comic, basically, done by a circle of 
people (if it were one person, it would be 
kojinshi). But a lot of doujinshi are licensed by 
the big companies, and they encourage it. Comiket 
is a con in Japan created specifically for 
doujinshi, byt he big companies. Only in America 
do we have the concept of doujinshi being wrong
