My story is not about a cel, but a douga. I once
received an oversized douga sent in an oversized
envelope with no cardboard at all. Needless to
say when I received the douga it looked like
someone had crumpled it up and put it in the
envelope.
You would think that it would be fairly obvious
that a piece of paper in a very large paper
envelope would not do very well in the mail, but
I guess not.
