>>Are we as consumers to keep quiet just because
we know that the seller is a nice person?<<
Part of what you said made a lot of sense...this
is a cel communitiy and so people build up
loyalties and friendships and also grudges,
especially if you are in it for the long haul.
Past grudges on this board, which were also
mentioned in the Labdessa thread, surface from
time to time and also the need to defend people
when there really is no call for it. So the
Usagi's House thread could have ended a lot
earlier...I understand the need to protect a
reputation, but people aren't stupid, most will
see through "jokes" or flames and as someone
suggested, ignoring it is a lot better since
flamers in particular crave the attention.
I know every hobby has its share of communties,
but this is a particularly small group of
collectors (compared to what I've been a part of
before) and therefore more prone to holding on to
things. Should this hinder speculative posts
though? I know people who refuse to use this board
because of past grievences and the loss of their
contribution is sad.
Would it be easier to just make a list of
questions that you are allowed to ask and a list
of statements you can make? :)
Sorry for rambling on..all just my opinion of
course. here's to a friendlier forum |
