How come everyone always attacks me :*( I'm not a bad person!!! Honestly!!! :) As far as prices being driven up that may be true for now but when you think about how the history of different shows and different charcters and how the prices have fluxuated over the past few years you will see that nothing lasts forever. Remember how expensive Fushigi Yugi cels used to be when it first came out in the US? Well the cels are not nearly as expensive now. Prices on cels are all a matter of supply and demand. Right now there is a lot of demand for Sailor moon cels (and I imagine once the Cartoon Network starts showing the episodes for Sailor Moon S and Super S which they now have the rights for) prices will go even higher because that will bring in more fans. Then I am sure in a year or two when people get a little sick of Sailor Moon (except for die hard fans like me :) ) prices on Sailor Moon cels will go down again because demand will go down. I do have to agree that cels do not grow on trees in japan, you just don't walk down the street and find cels and the easiest to find cels are those from AIC but you can find other cels if you look. I found some really cute Sailor Moon cels for my personal collection at reasonable prices :) I just don't understand why everyone is getting all upset about cel prices. Cels are an expensive hobby and anyone that gets into it and then complains about prices should probably reconsider the hobby or atleast the shows they collect from. Cels are not a right but and extravagant hobby (You don't see starving people in third world countries collecting cels.) Maybe we should all just relax before we decide to complain and think about those less fortunate who have much better things to complain about. Now to cheer everyone up here is a cute child usagi cel I got in Japan. |
