Hello If you will reread my post, you will see I was referring to superfluous middlemen. Middlemen such as those who buy tickets for a popular show and then scalp them for ten times what they paid. There is a need for middlemen or else the studios would be swamped with individual collectors, which they do not want. However, there is a big difference between people who go to Japan and spend their own time and money so doing and people who buy from the same places as other collectors just because they know that they can turn around and sell it for a profit. We live in a capitalist society and there is greatest respect for the almighty dollar. As consumers, we have to be aware of how much we are willing to pay for both object and service. Our money is our most powerful tool for rewarding business practices we admire and we simply do not have to give our money to those whose practices are questionable. Words are meaningless to some people. It is all about the money. Ryochan |
