As the proud owner of a cheapie $90 Wal-Mart Mustek 1200, I
have to agree. @_@ It takes *forever* to scan, but I've had
all kinds of problems with mine! For one thing, the TWAIN
driver (whatever the hell that is!) dies after everytime I
scan something, sometimes it just scans horizontal or vertical
swirlies even when something IS in the scanner...of course, it
could be my computer or the scanner's just bad, who knows.....
I'd suggest buying one with an on/off switch. ^_^ This thing
runs constantly - is there a way to fix that? Should I unplug
it when I turn the computer off? It glows this eerie green light
all night from under the edge of the lid......
