I currently own 3 scanners and use 1 at work quite frankly only one of them scans colors even close to correctly (and it isn't the HP Scanjet 6200 at work)... pick yourself up an Epson Perfection 1200U for about $200-$250... if you're in Win'98 or if you're using a MAC (?), NT or Linux pick up the Epson Perfection 1200S... it might not be the largest scanner in the world... but at least the scans have a good tone and color to them... anyone have a favorite "legal size" and "A3 11x17" scanner? the HP is still a good scanner though... just not as accurate (IMHO) just stay away from consumer UMAX, MUSTEK, and whatever generic things are out there and buy Epson or HP and you should be fine.. |
