It really depends on the person. Some people
feel that an auction gives people more of a fair
chance. People that don't have as much money as
others will complain about those.
If you don't have a lot of time to spend on your
computer (or have other things to do instead)
you may prefer a lottery. Those who are on their
computers all the time would probably prefer
the first come-first served method.
Either way someone will complain. I'm on my
computer a lot so first come-first served works
better for me.
