One thing to note is that (last time I checked), their
Akihabara store still does not accept credit cards.
They have had many similar sales in the past, some with
an even greater discount. At a few conventions, they
offered 50% off the cels that they brought. (such as
Wonder Festival, Comiket)
The membership card costs about $40 for a year, and you
need a photo. They also have a stamp card, that you get
one stamp for every 1,000 yen that you spend. Get 30
stamps, and you can use the card for 1,000 yen off a 3,500
yen (or more) purchase. The stamp cards can be used along
with the discounts.
